It was bath day, do we need say more?

There was a roadrunner on our fence. I spotted him running across the patio. I rushed to the door to bark at him and he jumped to the fence. I am now on lookout for the coyote. Stubbs missed it all (slacker).

Happy Mother's Day!

Mr. Stubbs and I would like to thank all the Mom's who have welcomed a pet into their hearts and lives. Their love helps so many in need too.

We had company today! Mom's middle son and baby came over. We had lunch and a good sniff of a baby. Who could ask for more?

Now we are exhausted and down for the count.

"He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother"

Boy, things have been busy around here. It takes time and patience to teach a pup everything you know. Mr. Stubbs now barks, (at real or imagined noises). He chases me and I chase him. He eats my food and I eat his. We play fight, (we are still working on him not biting so hard). I showed him how to find cat tootsie rolls in the backyard too! He can jump on the big bed now and surprises Mom in the morning. He is plopped on his back in her arm. Bol!

The best thing is he is so gullible! If I want the toy he is playing with all I need do is go get another and he leaves the one I want! Of course I only want it cause he has it. If I want to lay where he is I go to the door and Mom opens it. As Stubbs runs out I turn around and take the cozy spot in the chair! I just hope he won't catch on.

This morning the cat left a present in the back yard, a gopher head! Stubbs found it first and ran to the door. Mom saw he had something in his mouth and made him spit it out before interring the house. 

I better go take a nap before the next lesson starts. Happy Monday everyone.

Be Careful What You Wish For

I have been wanting a playmate for the longest time, and wouldn't you know it, Momma took note. It was all well and good for the first three hours of playing nonstop. But the little guy did not leave! No, he is by my side constantly and I have had enough. He chews on me, chases me, and eats my kibble. Thank dog he does not share the bed with me and Momma. That is because he is so little Mom is afraid he would fall and get hurt. Let me introduce you to Mr. Stubbs. He is 4 months old, part Scottie and chi, he has the stubby tail of a Scottie hence the name. 

Rainy Day

It has been raining today in San Diego county. This is where I like to spend rainy days, snoozing on mom's lap with a blanket over me. I groan when she moves. She claims it makes it hard for her to drink coffee and read her book.I don't see a problem there.

What Happened?

Well pups it looks like maybe our growls and whines were heard. Dogster is not shutting down the Community section after all!! Check out the notice over at Dogster. See parents, all that barking works!

Try Again

Ok, now we are rolling! Mom is now on the puter and she is going to try to post the picture of my new haircut. I had the pitiful look going good here.

Mom doesn't have any cute pubby pictures of me cause she adopted me when I was already a year old. It is dindin time, so gotta run!

What the.....

I live in sunny California right? What happened? It has been cold and raining today! I need the sunshine back! My fur coat was shaved and I am freezing. Mom should sit all the time and hold me with a blanket covering me. She disagrees with me though.

Speaking of the old lady. She has not had time to get on the computer, just the ipad. She can't post pictures on this bloggie with the ipad. It wants to know if she wants to take the pictures from her smart phone. Mom is not about to pay for a "smart phone". She will keep her dumb one, thank you very much!

So you see what I have to put up with. Won't do my bidding and won't post my cute picture! Oh, the humanity!!

What was she thinkin!

I knew something was up when Mom got her shower and it was early o'clock. She fed each of us and then played on her ipad thingy. I wouldn't let her out of my sight let me tell you. She was up to somethin. She put on her shoes and grabbed her purse, then she got my leash!! Maybe we are going to the dog park! Maybe we are going to Petco for treats! Maybe there is a play date with some pup! Nooo, we pulled into the groomers. Mom then told them to cut it short!! I am so nekked that I am no longer cream colored, I am tan! Mom almost didn't recognize me but I was yelping to tell her "get me out of here!" I am so upset I won't be still for her to take a picture. Bol!

#!?#!*!! Cats !!

This morning I went out to do my "privacy please". When I started for the patio, the resident cat here jumped out and took after me! He is called Big Red and is twice my size. Mom usually gets between us so he doesn't scare me.

"Mom don't write that!!!! He does Not scare me!"

"Sorry Milton, I can't find the delete button on the ipad. Don't worry nobody reads this. :)"

Anyhoo, Mom was so busy star gazing she failed to notice the cat had joined us! She thinks it is payback because I used to chase him when I first came here.

Mom here-It was a good thing Milton had already piddled or there would have been a trail across the patio!

Bitter Sweet

Today over on Dogster I am Diary Pick of the Day. I am sharing this honor with two Pals, Zoe and Toto.

What makes it bitter sweet is knowing that this is the last time I will be selected. In another month we will not have this forum at all. It has been great meeting the wonderful pups and their parents thru their pages.

We will Bark On here and hopefully more will join us!

Coyote's In the dark!

We  were out before daylight this morning and heard the coyote howling nearby. Mom won't let me linger when they are near. Even the cats were hiding in the garage. Mom doesn't think the 6 ft fence would keep them out if they really wanted a meal!
Time to curl up on Mom's warm lap and go back to sleep.
